Somewhere, somehow we started to think that we are not subject to nature's laws as other animals are.
It is true: we are much smarter than all other animals. That's what has made us the most dominant specie on this planet. But we are still composed of the same elements as other animals. And there are few biochemical differences between other mammals and us in the way our body functions.
When first we learned how to change and manipulate nature, we thought these changes would be totally to our benefit. How little we knew about the exact functions of our human body! And by the time we began to know, our society was already based on the uninformed changes we had made.
